 | Susan Grider is the Executive Director of The Family Place. With a background in business, organizational leadership and fundraising, Susan first began working with The Family Place as an organizational development consultant in July of 2003. She has served as Executive Director since January, 2004. While Susan enjoys hiking, kayaking, photography, spinning, and making music, her greatest joy comes from being with her seven grandchildren, who range in age from four months to eighteen years. |  | Mae Clayton has worked as the Program Director of The Family Place since March of 1999. Before coming to the Family Place, she was employed by Transylvania County Schools, and also worked one-on-one with young families in their homes. Mae holds a degree in sociology, with a minor in social work. She and her husband, Larry, a high school principal, have one grown son. In her spare time, Mae loves to exercise and play with her pets. | | | Linda Chapman is Program Coordinator for The Family Place in Rosman. She worked for many years with Transylvania County Child Development, and more recently, as Program Consultant for the North Carolina Division of Child Development. Linda loves working with families in Rosman. |  | Barb Weyhrauch has been our Childcare Coordinator since 2001. Prior to accepting this position, she worked in public elementary schools, preschool and child development. In her spare time, Barb expresses her creative side through various crafts, antiques, and decorating.
|  | Maxine Lance is the Children's Program Coordinator for our Rosman program. Maxine has more than thirty years of experience in child development, including 18 years working with New Adventure in Brevard. She came out of retirement a couple of years ago to join us.
